It's so amazing despite its weak presence

There are many things around us whose presence is not so strong, just like some people who are born low-key like dust and are not easily noticed by people. Therefore, they spend all their efforts to make their presence felt, hoping to have a place in the eyes of others and to attract the attention of others. Even if it is only for one second, it is a kind of satisfaction.

Some people have no sense of existence, and some plants have no sense of existence, even though they are really amazing.

For example, Equisetum arvense, also known as horsetail grass and pen grass, is such a plant that is not noticed by people.

The knotweed herb is a perennial herb with an erect stem, one foot and a half to three feet high. The stem is hollow and has nodes. The internodes are one to two inches long. The surface has ridges and is rough.

Generally speaking, herbaceous plants have leaves, but knotweed is a little different. Its leaves are basically degenerate, and only the leaf sheaths are tightly attached to the stems. Just like bamboo, it exists section by section. Perhaps, this is why it got its name.

The sporangium spikes of the knotweed are oblong, yellow, and arranged in a whorl at the top of the stem in the shape of dense spikes.

The reason why the presence of knotweed is relatively weak may be related to its growing environment. As long as it is in a relatively humid place, it can basically survive safely, such as riverbanks, streams, and ditches. Perhaps it is because it is not picky that many people do not pay much attention to its existence.

Even so, even if it is reduced to dust, the knotweed still unyieldingly protects human health, but this is something that most people don’t know.

The stems of the knotweed are generally used as medicine. It can be collected in any season of the year. After collecting, wash it, cut it into small pieces, and dry it for later use.

What are the specific effects of knotweed?

According to traditional Chinese medicine, knotweed is sweet and bitter in taste and neutral. It has the effects of dispelling wind and heat, relieving muscles and removing cataracts. It can be used to treat cloudiness in the eyes, tearing in the wind, intestinal bleeding, bloody dysentery, rectal prolapse, malaria, sore throat, carbuncle, etc.

The most prominent effect of knotweed is actually treating eye diseases and uterine bleeding in women.

Let’s talk about eye diseases first! It is said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, but our windows are often covered with a veil. For example, blurred vision and excessive tearing, or blurred vision and excessive tearing, are both very annoying. How to deal with it? You can use knotweed.

If the patient has visual impairment, blurry vision and excessive tearing, use 30g of horsetail herb (remove the nodes and grind into powder) and mix it with sheep liver to make pills. Take 6g each morning and evening after meals with white soup.

If the patient suffers from blurred vision and excessive tearing, use 30g each of Equisetum arvense (without the nodes) and Atractylodes lancea (soaked in rice wine), grind into powder, take 6g each time, mix with tea, or make into pills with honey.

Let’s look at women’s hemorrhage.

It is said that women hold up half the sky, which is a recognition of women's social status. However, many special physiological phenomena and diseases of women themselves are also very troublesome. Especially menstrual problems, which are really a distress that many women have faced. And hemorrhage not only makes them helpless, but also has a certain risk factor. How to treat hemorrhage? You can use 10 grams each of knotweed and 10 grams of Cyperus rotundus, and 5 grams of potassium nitrate, and grind them into powder. Take 2g each time. If the blood is black, boil it with one bowl of wine. If the blood is red, boil it with one bowl of water. Swallow it with the residue. Take twice a day. For pain below the navel, add 3g each of frankincense, myrrh and angelica and decoct together. Avoid eating raw, cold, hard foods, pork, fish, noodles, etc.

If the menstruation is lingering and has been coming for many days with a constant flow of water, you can use 10g of fried knotweed, add a bowl of water and boil it until it is 70% cooked, then drink it while warm, once a day.

In addition, knotweed can also cure athlete's foot!

Athlete's foot is a sorrow for many people all year round. Let's not talk about the smell for now. Let's talk about the itching caused by athlete's foot. It goes deep into the bone marrow and is really uncomfortable. What can we do? You can use 13.5g of knotweed, 30g of duckweed, 60g of red beans, and 6 red dates. Decoction in water. 3 times a day. This is effective for edema-type athlete's foot, dermatosis nephritis, and edema.
