If I picked this sweet and sour nightshade fruit, I would definitely try it. It quenches thirst and refreshes the mind. Most importantly, it is pure natural and you don’t have to spend money to buy it. Fortunately, I can’t eat too much each time, so I have never been poisoned. However, it is indeed toxic to a certain extent. It contains solanine. It is fine to eat it in small amounts, but if you consume it in excessive amounts, you will definitely be poisoned.

Used for sores, carbuncles, swellings, skin eczema, difficulty urinating, chronic tracheitis in the elderly, excessive leucorrhea, prostatitis, and dysentery.

Anti-inflammatory

Extracts of Solanum nigrum have anti-inflammatory effects in animals. It can reduce vascular permeability and the activity of hyaluronidase; it has certain protective effects on allergic, burn and histamine shock in animals.

Blood pressure reduction

Solanum nigrum has many and slightly complex effects. There are many opinions that Solanum nigrum can treat myopia and fight tumors. However, there is one thing to note: Solanum nigrum is mostly used in combination with other medicines, and the specific dosage needs to be based on the doctor's guidance. Moreover, Solanum nigrum is slightly poisonous, so you need to be careful.

1. To relieve itching: Remove the roots of Solanum nigrum, take 2 liang of fresh product and 1 liang of dried product, add 800 ml of water and boil it for oral administration. Take once in the morning and afternoon daily. Depending on the duration of the disease, take the medicine for about 7 to 25 days.

2. Treatment of chronic bronchitis: 1 liang of dried Solanum nigrum, 3 qian of Platycodon grandiflorum, and 1 qian of licorice, as the daily dose. Make it into tablets and take 3 times a day. One course of treatment is 10 days, with an interval of 5 to 7 days between each course.

3. To treat carbuncle: Crow's eye grass, pound it into powder and take it with wine.

4. To treat carbuncle without head: mash Solanum nigrum and apply it.

5. To treat swelling and pain from bruises: a handful of fresh Solanum nigrum leaves and seven green onions with roots. Chop it into pieces, add appropriate amount of fermented lees, mash them together and apply them to the affected area, changing it once or twice a day.

6. To treat acute nephritis, edema, and oligouria: 50g each of fresh Solanum nigrum and fresh Daphne genkwa, and 20g of Akebia. Decoction in water.
