Astragalus can significantly increase the total number of white blood cells in the blood and promote the phagocytic function and bactericidal ability of neutrophils and macrophages. Astragalus polysaccharide can increase the hematocrit of normal rats and increase the number of red blood cells. In rats or mice with blood deficiency syndrome model, Astragalus and Astragalus polysaccharide can increase the hematocrit or hemoglobin content.

Codonopsis pilosula is in the form of oval or quasi-circular thick slices, with a yellow-brown or gray-yellow surface, a yellow-white or yellow-brown cut surface, cracks or chrysanthemum patterns, and a light yellow center. The efficacy of this product is similar to that of ginseng, but its medicinal power is weaker.
