Cardamom extract can enhance the body's immune function against tumors, destroy the peripheral protective factors of cancer cells, and make cancer tissue more susceptible to damage. Traditional medicine believes that cardamom has the functions of drying dampness and cold, warming the stomach and strengthening the spleen, relieving pain and removing phlegm, and detoxifying; white cardamom has the effects of aromatic turbidity, relieving bloating and promoting qi, removing dampness and strengthening the stomach, and stopping vomiting and invigorating the spleen; red cardamom has the effects of aiding digestion, relieving drunkenness, warming the middle and lowering qi, and digesting food and strengthening the intestines.

Indications: Cold and dampness, qi stagnation, chest tightness, abdominal distension, vomiting, hiccups, and indigestion.

Clinical Application:

1. To treat stomach cold pain and vomiting, pale lips and tongue, clear saliva in the mouth, and loss of appetite (equivalent to certain types of acute gastritis and ulcer disease), you can use 6g of cardamom, with 6g each of Evodia rutaecarpa, Corydalis yanhusuo, Alpinia officinalis, and Cyperus rotundus. Decoction in water has the effects of dispelling cold, relieving pain and stopping vomiting.

2. To treat chronic diarrhea due to deficiency and cold (chronic dysentery, chronic colitis), use simmered grass wormwood, simmered terminalia chebula, etc., such as grass cardamom soup.
