What are the traditional Chinese medicine preparations?

As the external pollution environment gradually intensifies, many middle-aged and elderly people suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, anxiety disease, cervical spondylosis, etc. due to long-term adverse stimulation. However, there is no specific medicine to completely cure these chronic diseases. Therefore, long-term conditioning and maintenance through traditional Chinese medicine is the best choice. So what are the traditional Chinese medicine preparations? I hope that the following study can give you some new inspiration.

The preparation of Chinese medicine has a long history. Through the long-term medical practice of medical scientists of all generations, continuous trial production, use, summary and improvement, a wealth of preparation technology information has been accumulated. These information are recorded in ancient medical books and herbal documents of all dynasties. However, in the learning process, many difficult-to-understand specialized terms and terminology are often encountered, which brings a lot of difficulties to beginners. The author extracts some common terms for your reference when working and studying:

Water grinding: A method of obtaining extremely fine powder by utilizing the different suspension properties of medicinal powders of different finenesses in water and removing water-soluble impurities.

Quick washing: For some medicinal materials with loose texture and strong water absorption, in order to avoid excessive water absorption affecting cutting and excessive loss of effective ingredients, a quick washing method is adopted.

Steaming with wine: Add a certain amount of rice wine to the clean medicinal materials or cut products and mix well. Wait until the wine seeps into the internal tissues of the medicinal materials, then steam them in a pot until they meet the requirements. Remove and dry or further process.

Steaming ginger: Take a specified amount of fresh ginger, wash it, squeeze out the juice, mix it with the medicinal materials or slices, and simmer until the ginger juice penetrates into the internal tissue of the medicinal materials. Put it in a pot and steam it over high heat until it meets the requirements, then take it out and dry it.

Stir-fry until yellow: also known as "stir-fry until fragrant". It refers to frying the medicinal materials or raw slices over low or high heat until the surface turns slightly yellow or dark yellow (but not burnt), at which time the inherent aroma of the medicinal materials can be smelled.

Stir-frying: refers to frying the medicinal materials or raw slices over low or high heat until the surface is brown and the color inside deepens. The method is: first heat the iron pan with high heat until flames appear, add the medicinal materials and stir-fry continuously, then change to low heat and heat, and when it meets the requirements, take it out and let it cool.

Stir-frying to charcoal: Use high heat to stir-fry the medicinal materials or raw slices until the surface is charred black (carbonization) and the inside is burnt brown (preservation). The method is: first heat the wok over high heat until white smoke comes out when a small amount of medicinal materials is added (temperature is about 180°C), then pour all the medicine into the wok and spray clean water to extinguish the fire. Remove and let cool and dry. It can be stored in the warehouse after being placed for 3 days.

From the above text, we can see that the Chinese medicine preparation is indeed a very complicated subject, because more than 500 kinds of Chinese medicine can only play a better effect through scientific preparation. Therefore, I hope that the majority of middle-aged and elderly friends will master some scientific techniques of preparing Chinese medicine and make good Chinese medicine formulas when treating their chronic diseases, so as to achieve better disease prevention and treatment goals.
