It is mainly used to treat rheumatic bone pain, traumatic injuries, knife injuries, intestinal bleeding, chronic dysentery, eczema, burns, and carbuncles that do not heal for a long time.

Guangzhou Army's "Handbook of Commonly Used Chinese Herbal Medicines": Treats rheumatic bone pain, bruises and pain.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 3 to 5 qian; or grind into powder. For external use: grind into powder and apply on the affected area or decoct in water for washing.

【Additional prescription】

①Treat rheumatoid arthritis: 50g each of pine bark (remove the rough bark), Caragana root, Rubia cordifolia, and Trachelospermum officinale, and 1 liang of Tiger thorn. Decoction in water. (Commonly used herbal medicines among Zhejiang folks)

② Treat excessive bleeding due to intestinal wind: grind the pine bark (scrape off the coarse and loose parts first, and take the tender bark) into fine powder, roast until half dry, then put it into a wok, fry it over low heat until dry, and grind it into fine powder.
