Can I still drink expired white tea?

White tea is also a kind of tea. It can be used to maintain health. Many people often drink this kind of tea for themselves, especially many old people. If they have nothing to do, they like to drink this kind of tea to maintain their health and regulate their bodies. There are also many people who drink this white tea to help themselves lose weight and make their bodies better. However, many people buy too much white tea at one time. If it is too long, it will expire. So, can expired white tea be drunk?

The longer white tea is stored, the higher its medicinal value. White tea is also rich in provitamin A, which can be quickly converted into vitamin A after being absorbed by the human body, which can prevent night blindness and dry eyes. At the same time, white tea also contains anti-radiation substances, which have a significant protective effect on the body's hematopoietic function and can reduce the harm of TV radiation. Therefore, drinking more white tea while watching TV is beneficial without any harm. Children in particular should be encouraged to drink more white tea, which is beneficial to protect the eyes and keep the body healthy.

In particular, a recently published scientific research project funded by the American Cancer Research Foundation shows that white tea contains a special ingredient that has anti-cancer function. Drinking white tea can improve the immunity of liver cancer patients. In addition, you must pay attention to the storage method. Improperly stored tea will become moldy and change its taste, so pay attention to the following points:

1. Avoid moisture: When the moisture content of tea reaches 8.8%, it may become moldy; when it reaches 12%, if the temperature is suitable, mold will quickly grow and mold spots will appear on the tea leaves. Therefore, do not place tea leaves in a humid environment such as the kitchen.

2. Keep in low temperature and away from light: Sunlight and light will affect the quality of tea. The higher the quality of green tea and scented tea, the more sensitive they are to light. Therefore, do not place tea leaves on windowsills or near spotlights.

3. Place them separately: After wrapping the purchased tea with paper, wrap and seal it in two layers of polyethylene food bags, and then place it in a dry place. Never put tea together with items with odors, such as mothballs, soap, perfume, cigarettes, etc.

4. Store separately: Tea is best stored in tin boxes or porcelain jars, followed by iron boxes, wooden boxes, bamboo boxes, etc. Plastic bags and paper boxes can also be used to store tea. The iron box should be placed in a cool place away from direct sunlight. This can prevent the iron box from oxidation and rusting, and on the other hand, it can inhibit the speed at which the tea in the iron box deteriorates. You can also use plastic bags to pack tea, but choose thick food packaging bags.

Whether expired white tea can be drunk depends on the situation. If it has exceeded the shelf life but is still in good condition, then you can drink it. However, if the white tea is expired but has gone bad or has an odor, then you cannot drink it. You must usually preserve the white tea well, preferably in the refrigerator so that it can become dry.
