The inflorescence is axillary, the flowers are blue-purple, mostly fall off, the calyx is corrugated, persistent, and contains small nuts with a faint odor and light taste.

Mugwort leaves are warm-natured Chinese medicinal materials, while motherwort granules are cool-natured Chinese medicinal materials. The characteristics of Chinese medicinal materials cause the two to have different effects.
