Damage area

It is distributed as far north as Liaoning Province and as far south as Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces. It is a weed that grows in summer dryland crop fields.

Damage to food crops

There were large-scale outbreaks and damage to wheat and rapeseed fields in North China, Northwest China, and the Huaihe River Basin.
