Fever, cold, bleeding gums, acute and chronic appendicitis, urinary tract infection, edema, menstrual pain, metrorrhagia, secretions, breast cancer, mandibular cancer, thyroid cancer, cervical cancer, sepsis, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, etc.; external application to treat initial stage of mastitis, carbuncle, furuncle, ulcer, and bruises.

Source: Rubiaceae, a green plant of the genus Rubiaceae, which is used as medicine. Picked in summer, used fresh or dried.

Nature and flavor: pungent, bitter, cool

Functions and effects: Clears away heat and reduces fire, facilitates urination and reduces swelling. Fever, cold, bleeding gums, acute and chronic appendicitis, urinary tract infection, edema, dysmenorrhea, metrorrhagia, secretions, cancer, sepsis; external application to treat initial stage of mastitis, carbuncle, furuncle, bruises.

Medicinal value: antibacterial effect; blood pressure lowering effect; anti-cancer effect.

Usage and Dosage: 50-100 grams; For external application, mash it raw and apply it or squeeze the juice to apply on the wound.

1.1-2 liang; for external application, crush fresh or squeeze juice to apply to the wound

2. Use Chuanxiong tablets (take fresh Chuanxiong, add soaked water and boil for 1-2 hours, filter and cook): one tablet weighs 0.3g, containing a dose equivalent to 10g of Chuanxiong raw medicine; take orally, 2-3 tablets each time, 3 times a day. It was used to treat 15 cases of the above tumors, 1 case was clinically cured, 5 cases had significant effects, 6 cases were effective, 3 cases were ineffective, and the overall effective rate was 80% [15:581].

3. Take 250g of fresh juice of this product with brown sugar or 30g of dried slices, decocted in water, 1 dose per day, to treat 9 cases of breast cancer, esophageal cancer, and cervical cancer. The results showed that 1 case was clinically cured, 3 cases were significantly effective, 2 cases were effective, and there were no side effects if taken for a long time [21:471].
