[Properties] This product is flat kidney-shaped or flat oval, with a diameter of about 1mm. The surface is brown or grayish yellow with fine reticular patterns and a dotted hilum at the slightly pointed end. The cross section is grayish white, oily, with endosperm and curved embryo. Odorless, slightly spicy.

【Identification】 (1) Take 0.5 g of the powder of this product, put it in a test tube, add 0.5 ml of concentrated ammonia test solution, mix well, then add 5 ml of chloroform, plug it tightly, shake it from time to time for half an hour, filter it, evaporate the filtrate to dryness, add 0.5 ml of chloroform to the residue to dissolve it, take 5 drops of the solution, evaporate it to dryness on a water bath, add 4 drops of fuming nitric acid, evaporate it to dryness, add 1 ml of anhydrous ethanol and 1 small piece of potassium hydroxide to the residue to develop purple.
