For treating tinnitus, deafness, tooth looseness and unbearable pain caused by kidney deficiency: 4 liang of Drynaria fortunei, 2 liang each of Rehmannia glutinosa, Cornus officinalis, and Coix seed, 1 liang and 5 qian of Paeonia suffruticosa (fried with wine), and 8 qian of Alisma orientalis (fried with salt water). Grind them into powder and make pills with honey. Take 5 qian each time, with broth before meals. To treat toothache: fresh fern, up to 2 liang (with the hair removed). Crush it, add water and steam it. Do not use copper utensils for cooking.
