[Source] Medicinal material source: The rhizome of Dryopteris homomorpha of the Dryopteris family.

【Original form】Plant height 60-80cm. The rhizome is short and erect, with densely covered brown, lanceolate scales at the top and base of the petiole. Leaves are clustered; petiole 25-35cm long, light straw color, sparsely covered with brown, linear-lanceolate small scales upward to rachis and pinnae; leaf blade oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate, 30-45cm long, 15-20cm wide, acuminate at apex and pinnate-lobed, base shortened, pinnate-lobed twice; pinnae acuminate at apex, deeply lobed almost to rachis; middle pinnae lanceolate, 10-14cm long, 2-4cm wide, nearly truncate at base; pinnules 12-19 pairs, oblong, obtuse at apex, sparsely serrated at margin; venation pinnate-separated, lateral veins dichotomous. The sporangia are separated from each other, dorsally borne on the non-contracted pinnate forked veins of the upper half of the leaf blade, and arranged in a row on each side of the midrib; the sori are round and kidney-shaped, brown.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown under forests on hillsides at an altitude of 300-800m.

【Functions and indications】 Cooling blood and stopping bleeding; expelling parasites. Mainly used for vomiting blood, metrorrhagia, ascariasis, and red worm disease
