Fritillaria thunbergii [picture] is a common Chinese medicine in clinical practice. For people with poor physical constitution, eating Fritillaria thunbergii [picture] can help us maintain better health. Today I will introduce Fritillaria thunbergii [picture] to you.

[Source] This product is the dried tuber of Bolbostemma paniculatum (Maxim.) Franquet, a plant of the Cucurbitaceae family. Dig it up in autumn, wash it, break it apart, boil it until there is no white core, take it out and dry it.

【Properties】 This product is irregular lumps of varying sizes. The surface is light reddish brown or dark brown and uneven. It is hard and not easy to break. The cross section is horny, shiny and smooth. It has a faint smell and a slightly bitter taste.

[Identification] Take 0.1 g of the powder of this product, add 20 ml of 70% ethanol, ultrasonically treat for 20 minutes, filter, evaporate the filtrate to dryness, add 1 ml of methanol to dissolve the residue, and use it as the test solution. Take another reference substance of tubeimoside A, add methanol to make a solution containing 1 mg per 1 ml, which is used as the reference substance solution. According to the thin layer chromatography method (Appendix Ⅵ B), 5 μl of each of the above two solutions were taken and spotted on the same silica gel G thin layer plate with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as the adhesive, and chloroform-ethyl acetate-methanol-formic acid-water (12:3:8:2:2) was used as the developing solvent. After development, the plate was taken out, dried, sprayed with a mixture of acetic anhydride-sulfuric acid-ethanol (1:1:10), and heated at 110°C until the spots were clearly colored. In the test sample chromatogram, a spot of the same color appears at the corresponding position in the reference sample chromatogram.

[Content determination] Determine according to the high performance liquid chromatography method (Appendix Ⅵ D).

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, slightly cold.

【Functions and indications】Dispersing nodules, reducing swelling and detoxifying. Used for mastitis, scrofula, mastitis, cervical lymph node tuberculosis, chronic lymphadenitis, and hypertrophic rhinitis.

【Usage and Dosage】 4.5~9g.

【Storage】Place in ventilated and dry place.
