Establishing a resident environment

The first thing to do when entering the "space home" is, of course, to decorate the home. When it comes to "space decoration", astronauts are professionals. They carry supplies, receive and unpack goods, arrange and install... the "space home" soon becomes presentable.

In addition, astronauts must establish and debug ground-to-space communication links to ensure smooth communication, and review the smooth voice and information links and file transfers of the communication headsets, wireless headphones, mobile phones, tablet computers, and fixed desktop computers of the Shenzhou spacecraft, cargo spacecraft, and Tianhe core module.

Astronauts stay in orbit for six months, so a good working and living environment is essential. During this period, astronauts will test three major exercise equipment, including the common space treadmill, space bicycle, puller, etc., as well as the space kitchen hot air blower, microwave oven, water heater, garbage disposal, etc., establish the sleeping area environment, and arrange their own small space for relaxation and living.

Microbiological sampling work

A good environment is essential for working and living in space. After the astronauts move into their "space home", they will confirm the status of waste in the cargo compartment area and conduct various environmental sampling work on the space station, including water microbial sampling, air microbial sampling, surface microbial sampling, etc.

Equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance

In order to better carry out various tasks, astronauts will also install, debug and repair various equipment, such as IP configuration of in-cabin directional cameras, installation of internal circuit pumps, installation of humidity sensors, installation of dynamic water vapor separators for urine and feces collection devices, filament switching of multi-directional detectors of space environment atmospheric density, installation of charge replenishment units for containerless material experimental cabinets, and powering up basic experimental support equipment in the field of aerospace medical experiments.

Conduct space science experiments and technology tests

When everything is ready, astronauts will carry out various space science experiments and technical tests, such as magnetic levitation experiments in the high-micro cabinet suspension experiment system, jet levitation experiments in the high-micro cabinet suspension experiment system, material science experiments in the containerless cabinet, and medical sample processing and analysis projects.
