It turns out that the Double Ninth Festival originated from the worship of celestial phenomena. In the Book of Changes, "nine" is defined as a yang number. On September 9, double nines and double yangs, the Double Ninth Festival was born. It started in ancient times, and it was not until the Tang Dynasty that it was taken out and ascended the throne of folk festivals. Later, because the number "nine" is a homophone of "long", it was given the meaning of eternity, health and longevity by modern people, so the term "Old People's Day" came into being.

On the Double Ninth Festival, there are many activities, including climbing mountains, appreciating chrysanthemums, flying kites and eating Double Ninth Cake, as well as respecting the elderly.
