Suning.com's recently released 2024 semi-annual financial report shows that its operating income in the first half of this year was 25.783 billion yuan, a decrease of 24.26% from the same period last year. Despite the decline, the company successfully achieved a net profit of 15 million yuan attributable to shareholders of listed companies, an increase of 100.76% compared with the same period last year. It is worth mentioning that in the second quarter, this profit reached 112 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 106.10%, marking the company's transition from loss to profit.

As of June 30, 2024, Suning.com has 124 Max and Pro stores in 54 cities across the country. In the first half of the year, the company also added 75 home appliance 3C home life specialty stores, of which 48 were opened in the second quarter.

At the same time, the company is also strengthening its store reserves and expects to open and renovate 97 stores in the third quarter.

Suning.com said that although the overall prosperity of the home appliance industry was low in the first half of the year, the home appliance retail market declined year-on-year due to the impact of macro-comprehensive factors such as the downgrade of residents' consumption and the sluggish real estate market, and the market competition was extremely fierce, the company still achieved remarkable results.

However, Suning.com also admitted that due to insufficient working capital, the supply chain of some commodities, especially consumer electronics, continued to be insufficient, which had a certain impact on the company's sales.
