The online car-hailing industry has not yet emerged from the shadow of declining orders. On February 16, the National Online Car-hailing Regulatory Information Interaction Platform released the basic operating conditions of the online car-hailing industry in January 2022. Data showed that the National Online Car-hailing Regulatory Information Interaction Platform received a total of 704.203 million order information in January, up 5.3% month-on-month and down from 730 million orders in January 2021. The previously released order data for December 2021 also fell compared with the same period in 2020. Judging from the order volume of each platform in January, 10 of the 17 online ride-hailing platforms on the list saw a month-on-month increase in order volume, while 7 saw a decrease in order volume. The number of platforms with declining orders increased significantly compared to the 3 in December. Among them, the order volume of Shenzhou Special Car fell by 34.4%, the order volume of Sunshine Travel fell by 21.9%, and the order volume of Tutu E-Travel fell by 20.3%. Among the platforms with increased order volume, Blue Road Travel's order volume increased by 70.9%, Zhaozhao Travel increased by 69.8%, Xiangdao Travel increased by 37.6%, and Xiehua Travel increased by 32.5%. Judging from the increase in orders, the current growth in order volume is closely related to the platform's activities. From the latest updated version, Xiangdao Travel has made "Newcomers get gifts" a recommendation page, and Xiangdao Travel has also pushed "Newcomers get gifts, enjoy discounts" to users on the App page. Users who register can get a gift package coupon worth 100 yuan. This practice is similar to that of Meituan Taxi. In December last year, Meituan Taxi pushed a reward on the user side: "Invite new drivers to join Meituan Taxi, and get 58 yuan in cash for each person invited." Previously, the reward for attracting new drivers was 30 yuan. Through preferential activities, the order volume has grown against the trend. In addition, the year-on-year decline in the number of orders in the overall online car-hailing market is also reflected in the perception of drivers. Master Zhang, who has been an online car-hailing driver on the Didi platform for four years, said that the biggest change he felt in 2021 was the decline in orders. "The number of orders has decreased by 30%." He told reporters. Starting from December 2021, the National Online Ride-hailing Regulatory Information Interaction Platform will not only release monthly online ride-hailing operation data, but also summarize the compliance status of the month. Data shows that there are 17 online ride-hailing platforms with more than 300,000 orders in January. Xiangdao Travel's order compliance rate is 93.1%, still ranking first, and Huaxiaozhu Travel is at the bottom with a compliance rate of 31.6%. The top three platforms with the highest compliance rate growth in January are Shouqi Car-hailing, Timely Car, and Wanshun Taxi; the bottom three platforms with the lowest growth are Ruqi Travel (-4.8%), Lando Travel (-5.8%), and Zhaozhao Travel (-6.9%). In January, Didi Chuxing's compliance rate was 45.9%, and Meituan Taxi's was 51.6%, and the compliance rate has increased. Among the major central cities, the order compliance rates of 11 cities including Xiamen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Hefei, Ningbo, Nanchang, Chongqing, Lanzhou, Nanjing and Zhengzhou are all above 80%. The top three cities with the highest order compliance rate growth this month are Ningbo, Haikou and Hohhot, respectively; the bottom three cities with the lowest growth are Hangzhou (-1.4%), Zhengzhou (-1.6%) and Guangzhou (-1.8%). As of January 31, 2022, a total of 260 online ride-hailing platform companies nationwide have obtained online ride-hailing platform operating licenses, an increase of 2 from the previous month; a total of 3.988 million online ride-hailing driver licenses and 1.583 million vehicle transport licenses have been issued in various regions, an increase of 1.0% and 1.6% from the previous month, respectively. Regulatory authorities are still strengthening their supervision of online taxi platforms. On February 14, according to official news from the Ministry of Transport, eight departments including the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security jointly revised and issued the "Notice on Strengthening Joint Supervision of the Online Taxi Booking Industry Before, During, and After the Event", which improved the joint supervision of the entire chain before, during, and after the event by multiple departments, and detailed the disposal measures and operating procedures to facilitate the implementation of relevant departments at all levels. |
