The QQSurvey China Online Research 2015Q1 Online Shopping Prospects Survey is based on the results of interviews with 1,030 Chinese netizens with online shopping experience. All interviewees were asked the same question: "How do you expect your online shopping spending to change in the next three months (January to the end of March 2015) compared with the past quarter (October to the end of December 2014)?" Among the netizens interviewed in Q1 2015, 57.2% of online shoppers expect to increase their online shopping spending, 15.5% of them say they will reduce their online shopping spending, and 27.3% of them say their online shopping spending will remain the same. The 2015Q1 China Net Online Shopping Outlook Index is positive at 41.7%. In this report, we use the term "Net Online Shopping Prospect Index". This data is obtained by subtracting the proportion of online shoppers in the region who expect to increase their online shopping spending in the next quarter from the proportion of online shoppers who expect to reduce their online shopping spending. The result is the Net Online Shopping Prospect Index. Regional comparison Online shoppers in the Pearl River Delta (including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and surrounding cities), the Yangtze River Delta (including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Wenzhou, Yiwu and surrounding cities), and the Bohai Rim (including Beijing, Yantai, Tianjin, Dalian, Weihai, Qingdao and other cities) who participated in the survey all expected changes in their online shopping spending in Q1 2015. Among them, online shoppers in the Pearl River Delta are most optimistic about their online shopping prospects, with their net online shopping prospect index reaching +43.9%. The net online shopping prospects of online shoppers in the Yangtze River Delta are closely following those of the Pearl River Delta, with their net online shopping prospect index reaching +42.3%. The net online shopping prospect index of online shoppers in the Bohai Rim is +38.8%. The online shoppers of all ages participating in the survey expect to spend online in the first quarter of 2015. The online shoppers aged 26-35 are the most optimistic about their net online shopping prospects, with their net online shopping prospect index reaching +46.4%. The net online shopping prospect of online shoppers aged 36-45 is closely following that of online shoppers aged 26-35, with their net online shopping prospect index at +43.1%. The net online shopping prospect index of online shoppers aged 46 and above is +36.7%. The net online shopping prospect index of online shoppers under 25 is +35.8%. The quarterly comparison of consumers in all age groups showed a decline. Among them, the net online shopping prospect index of online shoppers under 25 years old was the most significant compared with the previous quarter, with a decline of more than 4.2%. Gender comparison The male and female online shoppers who participated in the survey expected to increase their online shopping spending to varying degrees in Q1 2015. The net online shopping prospect index of male online shoppers was +46.0%, while the net online shopping prospect index of female online shoppers was +37.3%.
