ForeSee: Customers who are satisfied with your mobile site are more likely to buy your product

According to data released by ForeSee in 2012, satisfied mobile website customers are more likely than dissatisfied mobile website customers to purchase from the same retailer when they are in other channels such as traditional websites or stores (88% vs. 63%).

Satisfied mobile customers (Foresee eCommerce Satisfaction Index scores of 80 or higher) are more likely than dissatisfied customers (69 or lower) to consider the same businesses first when purchasing similar products (91% vs. 59%) and are twice as likely to make a future purchase from the same company’s mobile site (84% vs. 42%).

Apple, Amazon and other companies lead in customer satisfaction with mobile

Four in ten online shoppers use a mobile device to access a retailer’s website, and 25% plan to do so in the future

During the U.S. shopping season, 34% of users used their mobile phones to access the internet to research products and then made comparison purchases while in store, compared to 19% and 15% who said they would shop from their mobile phones.

When asked about their mobile phone behaviors while in offline stores, 65% visited the store's website, 43% visited competitors' sites, and 26% visited price comparison sites.

Looking at the shopping behavior of users using mobile websites and apps, 47% use it to find product price information, 34% use it to compare different products, 27% use it to find product selling points, and 25% use it to read product reviews.
