[Source] It is a plant of the Lycopodium genus , Lycopodium serratum Thunb., Lycopodium family . The whole plant is used as medicine. It can be harvested throughout the year, washed and dried.

[Original form] Perennial herb, the whole plant is dark green, 15 to 40 cm tall. Root-like. The stem is erect or procumbent at the bottom, and often has reproductive buds at the top, which fall to the ground to become new seedlings. The leaves are papery, elliptic-lanceolate. The sporangium is kidney-shaped, growing horizontally in the leaf axils, with both ends exceeding the leaf margin, light yellow in color, and present all over the plant.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, slightly sweet, neutral. Slightly poisonous.

【Functions and indications】 Dissipates blood stasis and reduces swelling, detoxifies and relieves pain. Used for bruises, blood stasis, swelling and pain, internal injuries and vomiting blood; used externally to treat carbuncles, boils, swelling and poison, snake bites, burns and scalds.
