[Original morphology] Perennial upright herb. The base is much branched. The stem is square, covered with short fine hairs, and 30 to 50 cm high. The leaves are opposite, petiolate, ovate, 1.6-2 cm long, with acute apex and base extending down to the middle of the petiole. The edges are serrated, sparsely covered with short hairs on the upper side and hairs on the veins on the lower side. The inflorescence is terminal and arranged in a panicle, with 6 flowers in each whorl; bracts are ovate; calyx is bell-shaped, with 5 teeth at the apex, 3 short teeth on the upper lip, and 2 long teeth on the lower lip; corolla is purple, the upper lip is 4-lobed, with a shallow capsule on the back of the base, and the lower lip is boat-shaped; there are 4 stamens; and the style is 2-lobed.

[Habitat distribution] Growing on roadsides in mountains and fields. Distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou.
