Curata: 2012 B2B Marketing Trends Report

In Curata's 2012 B2B Marketing Trends Report, which surveyed marketers on their B2B marketing strategy choices in 2011 and 2012, 87% of respondents considered content marketing as one of their B2B marketing strategies, compared to 82% in 2011. Content marketing is the only area that is growing, in addition to search engine marketing, exhibitions, public relations, and print/TV advertising.

However, the survey also reflects some obstacles that companies encounter when using content marketing, such as:

  1. Creating unique and novel content (69%)
  2. Have enough time to do it (65%)
  3. Looking for high-quality content (43%)
  4. Difficulty in effect evaluation (40%)
  5. Assign the right people to execute (34%)
  6. Ways to share content with consumers (24%)
  7. Organization of content (22%)
  8. Ensure senior management commitment (15%)
  9. How to integrate it into the overall marketing strategy (12%)
