Hunan and Anhui have the largest production. The one produced in Fenghuang Mountain in Tongling, Anhui is of the best quality and is called Fengdanpi; the one produced in Nanling, Anhui is called Yaodanpi; the one produced in Dianjiang, Chongqing and Guanxian, Sichuan is called Chuandanpi; the one produced in Gansu, Shaanxi and Kangding and Luding, Sichuan is called Xidanpi; the one produced in Xichang, Sichuan is called Xichang Danpi and is of lower quality.
