[Original form] A small-leaved, densely-flowered Polygala shrub, up to 2m tall. Young branches pubescent. Simple leaves are alternate; petiole is 2-2.5cm long; leaves are extremely small, lanceolate, gradually pointed at the apex, gradually narrowed to cuneate at the base, entire, sometimes wavy. The flowers are bisexual, with racemes densely growing at the top of the branches, 4-5cm long, extending to 10cm when fruiting, and covered with short soft hairs; the flowers are densely packed with triangular bracts; the sepals are 5, falling off, the middle and outer sepals are folded left and right, not sac-shaped, the inner sepals are petal-shaped, obovate, extremely narrow downwards, sparsely covered with coarse soft hairs and glandular spots when young; the petals are 3, white with purple-red. The capsule is small and often inverted heart-shaped.
