[Source] Medicinal material source: The young branches and roots of Euonymus xinjiangensis of the Celastraceae family.

[Original form] Euonymus xinjiangensis is a small deciduous shrub with a plant height of 1-1.5m. The branches often have obvious wings. Simple leaves are opposite; with short petioles; the leaf blade is elliptical, ovate-lanceolate or ovate, 3-6cm long and 1.5-2cm wide. Cymes axillary, drooping, small, dark purple flowers, 4-merous. The capsule is red, inverted cone or pear-shaped, with a narrowed base and a short stalk, and splits into four lobes when ripe. Seeds light brown.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows in mountain thickets.

【Functions and indications】Promote blood circulation and regulate menstruation; remove blood stasis and relieve pain; detoxify and reduce swelling. Mainly used for amenorrhea; abdominal pain due to blood stasis after childbirth; joint pain; redness and swelling of sores and carbuncles

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 3-9g; or soaked in wine. For external use: take appropriate amount and decoct in water for washing.
