【Original form】Plant height 30-70cm. The rhizome is obliquely ascending or erect, and together with the base of the petiole, is densely covered with lanceolate scales. Leaves are clustered, thick and papery; petiole 15-45cm long, straw-colored, and covered with brown lanceolate scales together with the rachis; leaf blade lanceolate, 25-50cm long, 10-15cm wide, once pinnate; pinnae 10-20 pairs, oblique ovate, slightly inclined upward, nearly sessile, pinnae below the middle are sickle-lanceolate, 5-8cm long, 1.5-2.5cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, triangular-ear-shaped on the upper side of the base, cuneate on the lower side, slightly serrated on the margin or with sparse sharp teeth above the middle, smooth on the upper side, sparsely covered with fibrous small scales on the lower side; leaf veins are reticulate, with 2 rows of meshes on each side of the midrib, and each mesh has 1-2 internal veinlets. The sori are round and dorsally located in the middle or upper part of the internal vein; the sori lid is round shield-shaped and entire.
