Dried ginseng is ginseng that has been sun-dried. If ginseng is dried and stored, its shelf life will be longer. Of course, many people also slice dried ginseng for preservation, or slice it and then use it to make tea. However, slicing dried ginseng is not an easy task and requires mastering certain methods. Next, I will introduce to you the method of slicing dried ginseng and other related knowledge! 1. How to slice dried ginseng 1. Ginseng can be moistened with water and then sliced Before cutting ginseng, you can take a clean new piece of gauze, dip it in some warm water of 50 to 60 degrees, and wrap the gauze around the outside of the ginseng to make it more moist. After a while, you can pinch it with your hands. If the ginseng is soft, you can slice it directly. If you cannot finish it in one go, you can dry the remaining ginseng in the sun and then store it. However, be careful not to soak the ginseng in water to soften it, as that will cause a large loss of nutrients in the ginseng. 2. Slice after low temperature baking Ginseng can be cut into slices after low-temperature baking. Because ginseng contains some oil, it will become soft after low-temperature baking. You can turn on the electric stove, wait for the electric stove wire to heat up, then turn it off, and use the residual heat to bake the ginseng. 3. Ginseng can be sliced after being refrigerated You can wrap the dried ginseng at home with gauze, dip the gauze in cold water before wrapping, and then put the ginseng in the refrigerator. After overnight, when you take it out the next day, you will find that the ginseng has become soft, and it will be very easy to cut it into slices. 2. How to eat dried ginseng 1) Decoction for drinking: Cut the dried ginseng into tablets, wash and put into a sand pot, add clean water (2 cm higher than the ginseng slices) and soak for 0.5-1 hour, cover and simmer over low heat for 1-1.5 hours, then take the juice and drink. 2) Stew in water: Put 5-8 ginseng slices into a small bowl, add appropriate amount of water, put it into a pot with cold water and steam it for 0.5-1 hour. You can add appropriate amount of honey and take it with the soup and residue. 3) Make tea and drink: Take 5-8 ginseng slices, put them in a cup, pour in boiling water, cover it for 5-10 minutes, and drink it instead of tea. It can be soaked several times in a row, and when the soup tastes lighter, you can drink it together with the soup and the residue. 4) Soak in wine and drink: Take 10-20 grams of dried ginseng, soak it in 500 ml of white wine, seal it, shake the container once a day, and it can be taken after two weeks, about 10 ml each time. 5) Grind into powder and take with water: Grind the dried ginseng into powder, put it into capsules and take 1.5-2 grams each time, or take with boiled water. 3. How should ginseng be stored? Desiccant storage: Find a highly sealed container, preferably one with low light transmittance, and then put a desiccant at the bottom of the container, such as charcoal, silica gel, etc. The purpose is to keep the container where the ginseng is stored dry. Remember to wrap the ginseng with paper before putting it into the container and then seal it with a lid. This will prevent the ginseng from being infested by insects and mold. Preservation of glutinous rice and white sugar: Also find a sealed container, sprinkle about 3 cm thick white sugar on the bottom of the container, then fry the glutinous rice, wrap the ginseng with the fried glutinous rice, and then put it into the container with white sugar at the bottom, cover and seal! This method is very suitable for long-term preservation of ginseng at home. Low temperature storage: If the ginseng is completely dry, wrap it directly in plastic without any air leakage, and then put it in the storage cabinet of the refrigerator. If the ginseng is not yet dry, put it in the freezer of the refrigerator first, and then put it in the storage cabinet after it is freeze-dried. Sunlight storage: For ginseng that has been infested with insects or mold, the insect bodies, eggs, and mold spots should be removed first, then washed with water, and then directly exposed to the sun until dry, and sealed with a plastic bag! |
