Nine compounds were separated and identified from the 95% ethanol extract of the herb, namely, ryegrass lactone, isolegrass lactone, 3-hydroxy-9-methoxypterocarpone, grasshopper ketone, evofolin B, 3-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxy-3, 5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-propanone, indazole, indole-3-carboxaldehyde, and entadamide A.
