[Original form] Erect herb, 30-45cm high. Stems ribbed, pubescent with appressed pubescence. Leaves are opposite; petioles are equal in length in each pair of opposite leaves, 1-3.5cm long, with stripes; stipules are triangular, about 1mm long, persistent; leaves are light green after drying; leaf blades are ovate, 4-16cm long, 3-8cm wide, short and acuminate at the apex, with an elongated tip, rounded base, shallowly serrated edges, serrations facing upward, glabrous on both sides, with dense stalactites, which are long linear, evenly distributed, and sometimes overlapping each other; leaf veins are tripartite, with basal veins on both sides reaching the apex of the leaf, branch veins are parallel, spreading at right angles, and reticulate veins are not obvious. Dioecious; male inflorescences are sparse, 2-3cm long, with a slender peduncle; female inflorescences are not seen; male calyx has 4 lobes, ovate, about 1mm long, with a keel-shaped horn at the apex, and the back is covered with appressed soft or coarse hairs; 4 stamens, anthers with transverse purple stripes. The flowering period is from August to October, and the fruiting period is from November to January of the following year.
