[Source] Drosera peltata Smith var. lunata (Buch.-Ham.) Clarke [D. lunata Ham.], a plant of the genus Drosera in the family Droseraceae, is used as medicine with its whole plant . Dig up the whole herb in summer and dry it for use.

【Nature and flavor】 Sweet, warm. poisonous.

【Functions and indications】Dispel wind, activate collaterals, promote blood circulation and relieve pain. Used for traumatic injuries, lumbar muscle strain, rheumatic joint pain, malaria (apply to the Dazhui acupoint), corneal clouding (apply to the temple), lymph node tuberculosis, eczema, and neurodermatitis.

[Usage and Dosage] For external use, grind into powder and apply to the affected area or acupoints. Not for internal use.

【Remarks】 (1) The juice of the leaves may cause burning pain and inflammation when it comes into contact with the skin. Accidental ingestion by livestock may cause symptoms of hydrogen cyanide poisoning. In case of poisoning by skin contact, wash with water or tannic acid solution and then apply boric acid ointment. If accidentally ingested, symptomatic treatment should be given according to the treatment methods for hydrocyanic acid poisoning.
