[Source] It is the infructescence of Azalea strychnifolia, a plant of the Ericaceae family. The fruits are harvested in September and October when they are hot but not cracked, soaked in water and then dried in the sun to prevent them from cracking.

[Original morphology] It is a dry and mature infructescence. The fruit is oblong, slightly curved, 2 to 3 cm long and 0.7 to 1 cm in diameter. The fruit skin is chestnut brown, slightly shiny, petiolate, 1.5 to 3 cm long; sepals are persistent, with short soft hairs; usually 3 to 12 clusters grow on a peduncle, which is brown-brown and often connected with grayish-white small branches.
