[Original form] Perennial herbaceous vine. The stem has 6 edges and is sparsely covered with curved short soft hairs, which later become glabrous. The leaves are odd-pinnate compound leaves, opposite, with 7 to 9 leaflets. The lowest leaflet is 4 to 5 cm long, gradually decreasing in size upwards, unlobed or 2 to 3 deeply lobed or 3 completely lobed, with narrow ovate lobes, entire, glabrous above and with adnate short coarse hairs beneath, and the hairs are denser on the veins. There are 1 to 3 flowers in axillary cymes, with slender pedicels and 2 opposite leaf-like bracts at the base, which are 3-lobed or unlobed; there are 4 sepals, which are white, oblong-oblanceolate and covered with hairs on the outside; there are many stamens, with short and wide filaments; there are 12 pistils, densely covered with soft hairs.
