[Properties and flavors] "Ben Cao Jing Shu": "pungent, hot, and poisonous."

【Functions and indications】Warming the kidney, tonifying deficiency, and stopping bleeding. Treat impotence, testicular prolapse, and enuresis. Hemorrhoidal bleeding, rectal prolapse, metrorrhagia, and leucorrhea.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 2 to 4 qian; or made into pills or powder. For external use: decoction for fumigation and washing.

【Note】 Those with Yin deficiency and excess fire should not take this medicine.

[Additional prescription] ① For treating impotence and inability to have sex: half a catty of cotton seeds (soaked in water, dried in the sun, stir-fried with liquor, shelled and kernels used), two ounces each of Psoralea corylifolia (fried in salt water) and leek seeds (fried). Grind into powder, add onion juice to make pills, the size of walnuts. Take 2 qian each time, on an empty stomach with wine. (Zhu Mu's Trial Prescription)
