[Original morphology] Lushanaceae, perennial upright herb. The stem is 0.6-1m tall and densely covered with white, downward-curved short hairs. Leaves with short petioles; leaf blades ovate-lanceolate, 3.5-5.3cm long, pubescent on both sides, with white, slightly curved short pubescence on the veins and petioles below. The inflorescence is axillary and terminal; the bracts are ovate; the flowers have fine pedicels; the calyx is bell-shaped, with a hairy ring in the throat, two lips, the middle tooth of the upper lip is extremely developed, nearly round, the 2 lateral teeth are less than half the length of the middle tooth, the 2 teeth of the lower lip are triangular-subulate, and the interdental gap is notched to the throat; the corolla is white, or with a blush, the tube is slightly extended, the rim is single-lipped, the lip is at right angles to the tube, the middle lobe is particularly developed, elliptic-spoon-shaped, concave, and the last pair of lobes is nearly triangular; the stamens exceed more than half of the corolla tube; the disk is disc-shaped and entire. The nutlets are obovate with reticular carvings, and the fusion surface does not reach 1/2 of the total length of the nutlet. The flowering period is June, and the fruiting period is August-October.
