There is one leaf, with a petiole 30-50cm long, densely covered with papillate white curved spines, the base of the sheath is tubular, and the upper edge of the sheath is obliquely truncated; the leaf blade is 3-divided, sessile, the middle lobe is broadly obovate, slightly concave at the apex, with a fine tip, the base is cuneate, 16-23cm long, 18-27cm wide, the side lobes are rhombic elliptical, 17-28cm long, 15-22cm wide, and the back of the midrib has white curved spines.
