【Original form】Large tree, 15m or higher. The bark is brown-black and cracked longitudinally in a peeling state; the branches are flat, densely covered with brown-yellow hairs near the top, and have dense and obvious leaf scars. The leaves are large, alternate, often densely packed at the top of branches; the petiole is short and strong, 10-15mm long, and hairy; the leaf blade is obovate, 12-22cm long, 8-15cm wide, obtuse or mucronate at the apex, gradually narrowing below the middle, truncate or narrowly cordate at the base, glabrous on both sides or sparsely covered with soft hairs on the back when young, entire, rarely wavy, the main vein is strong, sunken on the upper side to form a shallow groove, convex on the back, and covered with hairs near the petiole at the base, with 10-12 pairs of lateral veins and dense reticulate veins. The spike inflorescence is long and slender, axillary, 15-20cm long, with male flowers borne in the upper part and bisexual flowers borne in the lower part; bracts are small and fall off early; flowers are numerous, green or white, about 10mm long; petals are absent; calyx tube is cup-shaped, 8mm long, glabrous on the outside and covered with white soft hairs on the inside, with 5 calyx teeth, triangular, and almost as long as the calyx tube; 10 stamens, about 2.5cm long, extending out of the calyx; disk composed of 5 glands, covered with white coarse hairs; ovary is conical, covered with hairs when young and nearly glabrous when mature; style is single and strong; 2 ovules are suspended upside down on the top of the chamber. The fruit is oval, often slightly flattened, with 2 ridges with wing-like narrow edges, 3-4.5cm long, 2.5-3.1cm wide, about 2cm thick, slightly tapering at both ends, the pericarp is woody, hard, hairless, and bluish-black when ripe; there is one seed, which is oblong and contains oil. The flowering period is from March to June, and the fruiting period is from July to September.
