[Source] Paulownia fortunei (Seem.) Hemsl. and Paulownia tomentosa (Thunb.) Steud., plants of the genus Paulownia in the family Scrophulariaceae, are used as medicine with their roots and fruits . The roots are dug in autumn and the fruits are harvested in summer.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, cold.

【Functions and indications】 Root: dispel wind, detoxify, reduce swelling and relieve pain. Used for pain in muscles and bones, sores, swelling and pus, and red and metrorrhagic leucorrhea.

[Usage and Dosage] 0.5 to 1 liang for both roots and fruits.
