【Original morphology】 Plant height 30-40cm. The rhizome is short and obliquely ascending, with the top and base of the petiole densely covered with light brown, lanceolate scales. Leaves are clustered; petiole is 6-12cm long, light gray-brown or gray straw color, nearly smooth upward or occasionally with one or two scales; leaf blade is hard and papery, glabrous on both sides, lanceolate to broadly lanceolate, 18-25cm long, 6-10cm wide at the base, gradually pointed and pinnate-lobed at the apex, not narrowed at the base, bipinnate or tripinnate-lobed downward, with narrow wings on both sides of the rachis; pinnae are 8-10 pairs, alternate, obliquely upward, petiolate, lanceolate, gradually pointed or obtuse at the apex; terminal segment is oblong-lanceolate, shallowly lobed at the apex into coarse and blunt teeth of varying lengths; leaf veins are raised above, more or less sunken and ridge-like below, and lateral veins are single or forked. Sori linear, dorsally borne in the middle of the veinlets, with 1-3 on each lobe; sori cap linear, thickly membranous, entire.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on wet rocks under forests or in cracks in rocks beside roadsides at an altitude of 400-1000m.

【Nature and flavor】 Sweet; slightly bitter; neutral

【Functions and indications】Promotes dampness and clears turbidity; stops bleeding. Mainly used for leucorrhea, prostatitis, nephritis, and bleeding from knife wounds

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 9-15g. For external use: appropriate amount, grind into powder and sprinkle.
