【English name】 Parasitic Cyclosorus

[Other names] Cold fern, big wind cold

[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pteris chinensis of the family Pteridaceae.

【Original form】Plant height 50-70cm. The rhizome is horizontal, about 5 mm thick, and covered with brown, lanceolate scales. Leaves subspermous; petiole slender, 15-40cm long, brown straw color, slightly pubescent; leaf blade herbaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, about 35cm long, 13-20cm wide, base not narrow, with needle-like hairs along the veins on both sides, sparsely short setae between veins on the upper side, and pinnate-lobed twice; pinnae below the middle are about 10cm long, 1.2-1.4cm wide, lanceolate, truncate at the base, and the pinnate-lobed depth is as deep as 1/2; lateral veins are 6-8 pairs above the lobes, only one pair is connected at the base, and from the second pair onwards, each pair extends to the edge below the notch. The sporangium is located slightly above the middle of the lateral vein; the sori is small, kidney-shaped and densely covered with soft hairs.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under forests or in streamside wetlands at an altitude of 100-800m.
