The raceme has forked branches; the bracts attached to the branches are heart-shaped and sessile, while the bracts attached to the base of the pedicel are linear; the calyx is 5-lobed, the lobes are linear-lanceolate and pubescent; the corolla is white, about 1 cm long, 5-lobed, and the lobes are deep in the middle; there are 5 stamens, arranged unevenly in the tube, 2 are higher, 2 are lower, and the other is in the middle; the style is linear, the stigma is elliptical and 2-lobed. The fruit is smooth, with elliptic-spatulate persistent sepals. Flowering period is September.

[Habitat distribution] Distributed in the Yangtze River basin and southwest my country.
