【Functions and indications】Dispel wind, relieve gas, and relieve pain. Treats shaqi, hernia, and carbuncle.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral administration: decoct in water, 3-5 qian; mash into juice or soak in wine. For external use: mash and apply.

[Additional prescription] ① Treats sudden kidney qi rushing to the flanks, causing pain like a knife stabbing and difficulty in breathing. It is also very effective in regulating intestinal gas: take one cup of juice of raw fennel stems and leaves, mash it and sprinkle it over the hot water before drinking.
