[Source] Medicinal material source: The leafy stems and branches of the plant Morus alba of the Morus alba family.

【Original form】 Shrub, up to 1m tall. The young branches, leaves, inflorescences and flowers are densely covered with gray stellate hairs, sometimes with scattered overlapping stellate hairs. The leaves are nearly opposite or alternate, leathery; the petiole is 6-12mm long; the growing leaves are ovate or oblong, 5-8cm long, 3-4.5cm wide, glabrous above, and covered with gray hairs below; there are 6-7 pairs of lateral veins. Inflorescence: raceme, 3-5 flowers growing in the axils of fallen leaves of twigs or in leaf axils, densely packed into umbels; bracts ovate-triangular; receptacle elliptical; epicalyx annular, with 4 teeth; corolla buds tubular, slightly curved, with swollen lower part, 4-lobed at the top, reflexed. The berries are round, yellow-green, with granular skin and sparse hairs. Flowering period is from April to July.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in mountain broad-leaved forests at an altitude of 600-1600m, parasitic on plants such as Cyclobalanopsis glauca, chestnut, pear, oil-tea camellia, tung tree, and willow.

【Functions and indications】Nourishes the liver and kidneys; eliminates rheumatism; lowers blood pressure; nourishes blood and stabilizes pregnancy. Mainly used for liver and kidney deficiency; back and knee pain; rheumatism pain; sciatica; numbness of limbs; hypertension; fetal movement disorder; threatened abortion

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 9-15g; or soak in wine.
