[Original form] Purple flowered chrysanthemum is a semi-shrub. The stem is 20-10cm tall, quadrangular, and covered with short hairs. Leaves are opposite, and the same pair of leaves are of different sizes; the larger petiole is about 5cm long, the smaller petiole is about 5mm long, and is covered with short soft hairs; the leaf blade is membranous, oblong or narrowly ovate, 4-19cm long, and covered with short soft hairs; the leaf blade is membranous, oblong or narrowly ovate, 4-19cm long, 1.8-19cm wide, acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, oblique, with small blunt teeth or small teeth on the edge, coarse soft hairs on the upper side, sparsely covered with short soft hairs on the lower side, and denser along the veins. Cymes are axillary at the upper part of the stem; peduncles are 2-10cm long, pubescent, with 2-10 flowers; bracts are small, linear-lanceolate; pedicels are 1-1.5cm long; calyx is 5-lobed to the base, with lobes equal, linear-lanceolate or lanceolate; flowers are yellow or light yellow, 3-3.8cm long, sparsely glandular pubescent on the outside, glabrous on the inside with purple markings, upper lip 2-lobed, lower lip 3-lobed; stamens 2 pairs, anthers connected in pairs; ovary oblong, glabrous, with 2 stigmas. Capsule is narrow and long, 6-12cm long. The seeds are small, with a hairy appendage about 1 mm long at each end. The flowering period is October and the fruiting period is November.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing on trees in moist forests or on rocks on hillsides at an altitude of 650-2600m.
