【Original form】Plant height 100-150cm. The rhizome is long and horizontal, with sparsely covered lanceolate scales on the top that fall off early. Leaves are distal; petioles are stout, 50-70cm long, straw-colored; leaf blades are thin papery, ovate-lanceolate, 40-70cm long, 30-40cm wide, glabrous on both sides, and pinnate; lateral pinnae are 8-12 pairs, alternate, obliquely upward, broadly lanceolate, about 25m long, 4-6cm wide, with acuminate tips, asymmetrically rounded or rounded cuneate bases, entire or slightly wavy, terminal pinnae are of the same shape and size, turning red or brown-red when dry; leaf veins are reticulate, with numerous lateral veins, forming 2 rows of oblique square meshes between the lateral veins. The sori are round when young, borne dorsally in the middle or slightly above the veinlets, arranged in two neat rows between the lateral veins, occasionally merging into a crescent shape; there is no sori cover.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under forests or in wetlands beside ditches and streams at an altitude of 400-1000m.
