Inflorescence raceme or sometimes panicle, growing in upper leaf axils, shorter than leaves; flowers bisexual, white, fragrant, 1.8-2.5cm in diameter; pedicel 3-4cm long; 4 sepals, 2 outer ones smaller, concave at tip, 2 inner ones larger, petal-shaped; 4 petals; many stamens, filaments fused into 4 bundles at base; ovary close; round, stalked, style much longer than stamens, stigma shield-shaped. The drupe is spherical, 2.5-3cm in diameter, yellow when ripe, and fleshy.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in sparse forests in mountains or often cultivated.
