[Original form] River crow, male and female are similar. From the forehead, top of the head, back of the neck to the upper back, as well as in front of the eyes, behind the eyes and on the sides of the neck are dark gray-brown, and the color of the feather tips is lighter. The rest of the upper body, wings and tail are slate brown, with the back and waist being a darker brown. The flight feathers are brown with gray outer edges. The tail is shorter and the tail feathers are also brown. The chin, throat and prothorax are white, contrasting with the dark brown of the abdomen. Lower breast and abdomen brown. The iris is light brown; the beak is black or dark brown; the tarsus and toes are dark brown, slate brown or even black.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: The river crow is a relatively cold-resistant bird that lives in high altitude areas. It often searches for insects in streams, rocks or shallows, and sometimes even looks for food under the water.
