【English name】 all-grass of Lanceleaf Waxplant

[Other names] Sword-leafed Hoya, Wuzhongtu, Large-leafed Stone Peach, Stone Dragon Vine

[Source] Medicinal material source: The stems and leaves of the dicotyledonous plant Apocynaceae.

[Original morphology] The whole plant is hairless; the internodes of the stem are 5-25cm long, with aerial roots. Leaves are opposite; petioles are thick, 1-3cm long; leaf blades are lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, 11-14cm long, 2.5-4.5cm wide, with acute ends, green when fresh, grayish white and wrinkled when dry; lateral veins are not obvious, and are curved upward. The umbel-shaped cymes are axillary, with a peduncle 5-7cm long; the corolla is white, about 3cm in diameter, and the lobes are broadly ovate; the corona is star-shaped, fleshy, concave in the middle, and the outer corners are rounded; there is one pollinia in each cell, which is upright. The follicles are narrowly lanceolate, up to 15 cm long and about 1 cm in diameter. Seed tip with white silky hairs. The flowering period is August and the fruiting period is October.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in dense vegetable forests at an altitude of 300-1340m, epiphytic on large trees.

【Meridian】 Liver meridian

【Functions and indications】Promote blood circulation and dissipate blood stasis; dispel wind and dampness. Mainly used for rheumatism, heat, swelling and pain from falls, and fractures

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decocted in water, 9-15g. For external use: take appropriate amount, grind into powder and apply on the affected area.
