Globose cymes are axillary; without peduncle; several to many florets; bracteoles are filiform, longer than calyx; calyx tube is about 1mm long, 4-lobed at the top, lobes are linear-lanceolate; corolla is white, nearly funnel-shaped, corolla tube is 1.5-2.5mm long, glabrous inside, 4-lobed at the top, lobes are linear-oblong, less than 1mm long; 4 stamens, anthers are cordate, extending out. The capsule is oblong or obovate, about 2mm long and 1.5mm in diameter, with soft hairs at the tip, and cracks downward from the tip when mature; the seeds are narrowly elliptical, with grooves on the ventral surface, and dark brown. Growing in open grasslands, hillsides or roadsides.
