[Original form] Dianthus scabra, an epiphyte. The rhizome is slender, 2-3mm thick. The pseudobulb is oblong, 3-4cm long, with many fibrous roots at the base and one leaf at the top. The leaves are leathery, thick and brittle, oblong, 4-9 (-12.5) cm long, 1.2-1.5 (-2.2) cm wide, slightly concave at the apex, suddenly narrowed to a short petiole at the base, entire; midrib is obvious. The peduncle is slender, growing at the base of the pseudobulb, erect, 4-7cm high, not higher than the leaves, with one flower at the terminal end, and 2-4 membranous sheaths tightly covered at the base; the bracts are membranous, ovate, about 3mm long; the flowers are light yellow, drooping; the middle sepals are nearly oblong, 1cm long, 5mm wide, acute at the apex, with 5 veins; the lateral sepals are obliquely ovate-triangular, about 1cm long, about 6mm wide, with abrupt beak-shaped apex, attached to the peduncle at the base, with 5 veins; the petals are nearly triangular, about 6mm long, with acute apex; the lip is fleshy, undivided, pleated to each other, and the apex is recurved; the free part of the peduncle is about 6mm long; the ovary (including the pedicel) is 1-1.4cm long.
